Commander Legends: Baldur's Gate Prerelease is played in the Limited Commander Draft format. Each player will have three Draft Booster Packs, from which players take two cards at a time with each pick. This is to ensure coherency of decks, as players will need to conform to the color identities of their eventual commanders, and for speed. Please refer to this article for additional information.
